David Jeong
About Founder and Music Director
Born in Korea and raised in Russia, David Jeong is an emerging conductor with towering aspirations eclipsed only by his unique abilities. David is currently in his last year of doctoral studies in orchestral conducting at Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts.
In 2018, David founded the Classical Notes Philharmonic with the mission of keeping classical music alive for a modern audience and future generations. One way Jeong hopes to achieve this is through showcasing various genres of classical music. In addition to reviving traditional compositions, Jeong plans to include feature film and symphonic music he composed with experience as previous Sony Music and Universal Music artist.
In 2014, David was invited as an Associate Conductor to join Maestro Lorin Maazel's Castleton Music Festival in Virginia, where he was acclaimed by the Maestro as a conductor with "surprising talent."
Previously, as a composer and pianist, David studied at the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music and Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia, and he earned both his B.M. (Piano Performance) and M.M. (Conducting) degrees at the New England Conservatory in Boston, MA. David has received acclaim in Russia, Hungary, Austria, Canada, and the United States. His debut piano albums, published by Sony Music and Universal Music of Korea, both of which poignantly showcase the passion and sincerity of this remarkable triple-threat conductor, composer, and pianist.
Recently, David also published a piano solo album, Run Away With Me, comprised of his own compositions through Classical Note, Inc., which has been released and is now available through iTunes.
